Required training for Clinton City Schools Employees

This course includes training in 5 of the 6 required areas of training within SHLT-003:School-Based Mental Health Policy and required by Session Law 2020-7. All school personnel who work with students in Grades PreK-12 must complete this training. 

Employees returning to  Clinton City Schools during the 2020-2021 School Year should take this course if they completed ALICE initial eTraining last year. Employees new to CCS or who did not complete the ALICE initial eTraining must complete the ALICE Initial Training course instead of this course.

ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) Training provides preparation and a plan for individuals and organizations on how to more proactively handle the threat of an aggressive intruder or active shooter event. Whether it is an attack by an individual person or by an international group of professionals intent on conveying a political message through violence, ALICE Training option based tactics have become the accepted response, versus the traditional “lockdown only” approach.

Only Employees new to Clinton City Schools during the 2021-2022 School Year should take this course. Employees returning to CCS should take the ALICE Recertification Training Course instead of this course.

This course is designed for Clinton City Schools employees to meet the requirements for Annual Required Health Trainings.

This course allows CCS staff members to read, understand and agree to the Clinton City Schools Employee Technology Reponsible Use and Use of Social Media Policies.
